Bruce R. Saran, M.D.
Bruce R. Saran, M.D., a retina specialist and surgeon, provides state-of-the-art management for all vitreoretinal diseases and emergencies including macular degeneration, retinal tears and detachments, diabetic retinopathy, severe ocular infections and trauma, and macular pucker and hole surgery. He uses highly sophisticated equipment at Chester County Eye Care including digital fundus imaging, Fluorescein and ICG angiography, ocular ultrasound, and Ocular Coherence Tomography.
Dr. Saran actively contributes to the advancement of treatments for many eye diseases by participating in clinical trials. He has written articles in numerous publications, has lectured internationally on retinal surgery and disease, and serves as a reviewer for the Journal Retina. He is the founder and regularly attends the meetings of the Chester County Macular Degeneration Support Group. His surgery has been nationally featured on the medical television program “Second Opinion” on the Discovery Channel.
